Undergraduate from the Faculty of Dentistry of the University of São Paulo (FOUSP) in 1990; since 2008, a Professor at the Department of Surgery, Prosthesis and Maxillofacial Traumatology, currently as Associate Professor II (MS-5.2) of the Discipline of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Since 1993, part of the clinical staff of the University Hospital of USP, where he currently heads the Dentistry Division and coordinates the Residency Program in Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery. Residency from the City Government of São Paulo (1993), Specialist degrees from the Brazilian Collective Body of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology (1993) and Federal Council of Dentistry (2001), Master’s from the Paulista University (1999), Doctorate from the University of Sao Paulo (2005), and Tenured Professor from the University of Sao Paulo (2012). From 2015 to 2020, he was an Associate Affiliate Member of The Houston Methodist Research Institute and Adjunct Associate Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery of The Houston Methodist Institute for Academic Medicine. Since 2021, coordinates the Specialization and Refresher Courses in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at FUNDECTO Dentistry Faculty Foundation of USP. Full advisor of the Graduate Program in Oral Diagnosis of the Faculty of Dentistry of USP, researching 3D Virtual Surgical Simulation. Head Member of the Brazilian Collective Body of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology, Reviewer of the International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and Editor of the Autopsy & Case Report Journal.
