Degree in DENTISTRY from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, completed in 1996.2, where he received a student merit medal for being the best student in his class. He is a specialist in Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery from the CFO, completed a Master‘s Degree (1999-2001) and a Doctorate (2001-2004) in Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery from the State University of Campinas - UNICAMP. He is currently a Full Professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery. His work at the University mainly focuses on the following topics: Implantology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dentofacial Deformities (Orthognathic Surgery), Bone Reconstruction, Facial Pathology Surgery, and Facial Traumatology. He is a Professor, former Coordinator of the Residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery and the current head of the Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery division of the Onofre Lopes University Hospital - UFRN, Full Member and current President of the Brazilian Collective Body of Oral and Maxillofacial Traumatology and Surgery. Member of the Latin American Association of Maxillofacial Surgery (ALACIBU). He is a professor in the stricto sensu graduate program of the master’s and doctorate courses in Dentistry and completed a Senior Capes internship (Fellowship/Post-Doctorate) at the Hospital 12 de Octubre of the Universidad Camplutense of Madrid, Spain, in 2015.
